With January almost, but not quite, through I am back in the studio finalising new designs inspired by dreams of travels, skies and the sheer beauty that is the Kenyan coast. The first pieces that I am completing which have been in the making for a while now, are from the new StarStruck Collection which came about the year before the first 2020 lockdown. The collection comprises pieces that represent the night skies alongside the sun, and whilst I was separated from friends and family in 2019 and 2020 due to severe illness and isolation, I took comfort in the fact that I was connected to family and friends by the night skies and the seas.
I was very connected to nature during that time, as I was unable to walk long distances or to travel very far, and I dreamt of adventures in travelling again and was boosted by pictures that my brother regularly sent me from Kenya. This Christmas I had the joy of visiting Kenya again, and being inspired by its sheer beauty.
A couple of the latest pieces can be pre-ordered from the website, as they are being sustainably made in small batches.
I am excited to be creating a new collection and look forward to sharing more pieces with you soon.
